Kim and Derekh had an unforgettable wedding last fall with The Glasserie at the Box House Hotel rooftop. The Greenpoint Brooklyn location meant killer views of the Manhattan skyline, but the truly memorable parts were the laughs, the uber-sweet ceremony, and the absolutely epic dance floor.
Kim donned a 2-piece dress from Carol Hannah that was the perfect combination of sleek yet romantic with a simple white top and flowing (slash amazing) blush skirt. A friend did her hair and make-up (that I'm still obsessing over). After putting it all together and grabbing her bouquet from Sprout Home Brooklyn we headed up to the roof for the first look with Derekh.
Before we gathered together with family and friends for portraits, the three of us headed to Maison Premiere, where Kim and Derekh had had their first date. They toasted with oysters and champagne to celebrate this day. It was so beautiful that they had this special alone time together before the hustle and bustle of the night with their guests--I'd recommend such a detour to any couples planning their wedding day timeline.
Back at the Box House Hotel the decor was inspired by the books that the couple loves, including The Little Prince. The ceremony was performed by a friend of Kim and Derekh's who left everyone laughing and smiling, pulling wedding advice from an Ikea instruction manual. After making their vows (including the promise of a puppy), the party was on.
Kim and Derekh's wedding was one for the record books and I had an absolute blast being a part of it.
