New York City in the fall is about as perfect as it can get—unless it’s a wedding in the fall in NYC where we also get to spend some time in Central Park!
Mila and Dan hosted their Upper East Side wedding at the gloriously beautiful Burden-Kahn Mansion. The ceremony took place in the courtyard with cello music, a Polish ceremony tradition involving bread, salt and wine, and simple vows. One of my favorite hidden details of the day included the ring pillow and garter: both made by a grandmother from her own wedding veil. So sweet! After the marriage was pronounced and sealed with a kiss Mila and Dan and I took a bit of a stroll for portraits in Central Park, eliciting congratulations from tourists and locals alike along the way.
Since Mila is a dancer and from Brazil, the music and dancing were a big priority for her. So she kept the dance floor warm all night with the help of DJ Samuel Sellers. The families and friends joined in and surrounded her (and Dan!) with laughter and fun throughout the night.
