Glasserie Wedding, The Box House Hotel, Greenpoint, Brooklyn: Kim and Derekh

Kim and Derekh had an unforgettable wedding last fall with The Glasserie at the Box House Hotel rooftop. The Greenpoint Brooklyn location meant killer views of the Manhattan skyline, but the truly memorable parts were the laughs, the uber-sweet ceremony, and the absolutely epic dance floor.

Fort Greene Newborn Lifestyle Session: Baby Ida

Fort Greene Newborn Lifestyle Session: Baby Ida

It is truly such an incredible honor when I get the opportunity to capture a bit of time in the first few days of a newborn's life with their family. There's the haze of sleepiness, trepidation and oodles of awe and love. It's such a special time when the baby is still so very small and wonderfully squishy and sleepy and it goes by in the flash of the eye. I love capturing these moments in photos for the family to hold onto as they watch their baby grow bigger and bigger, seemingly by the minute.

Cobble Hill and Nyack Engagement: Kiel and Dom

Cobble Hill and Nyack Engagement: Kiel and Dom

Sometimes I luck into clients that feel like automatic friends. As soon as we meet up for an introductory coffee or drink we fall into conversation like we've known each other for years. This was how I felt when I met Kiel and Dominick to discuss their engagement session at Clover Club in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Almost immediately I was laughing at their stories and being charmed by their playful interaction.

Crown Heights, Brooklyn Engagement: Mackenzie and Jason

Crown Heights, Brooklyn Engagement: Mackenzie and Jason

As soon as Mackenzie and Jason asked me to take their engagement photos, I knew I was in for a wonderful time. Mackenzie is warm, open, and caring and makes practically anyone feel like an immediate friend. Jason is creative, funny, not afraid to be a bit goofy, and always good for a great conversation. They live in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, very close to my own apartment, though only for a couple more weeks. Since the two are moving to Austin at the end of this month we decided that their session should really capture their life together here in Brooklyn, the place where they first met and where they first shared a home.
