Ace Hotel Brooklyn Wedding: Jane and Alan

Couple in a suit and wedding dress holds hands and smiles at each other

Jane and Alan’s wedding at The Ace Hotel Brooklyn felt like a perfect reflection of who they are: effortless, joyful, and deeply loving.

From the moment you walked into the event, the vibe was clear. Jane and Alan’s vision of subtle elegance translated beautifully in the modern, minimalist aesthetic of the Ace Hotel. With ivory and olive green tones, stunning draping, classic florals, and just the right balance of timeless tradition with contemporary design. Nothing felt overdone and everything felt intentional.

But what truly made this wedding special wasn’t just the setting — it was the people. Jane and Alan were most excited having everyone they love in one place at the same time. And you could feel that energy all day long. They spent a chill morning getting ready at their apartment building with just a few friends and their moms. Then they exchanged private vows together before we traveled to the venue for portraits. And as their guests started arriving at the Ace Hotel, the vibe shifted into pure joy with a lot of laughter, the couple surrounded by the genuine connection of their loving friends.

Jane and Alan’s story is pure New York. They met four years ago in business school here in the city, kicking off their relationship on the Upper West Side before moving to Brooklyn, where they ended up getting married just two blocks from home.

They find a lot of joy in their life here — walks through the neighborhood, boba runs, Trader Joe’s trips, watching shows, playful pranks, and eating all the things (savory for Jane, sweets for Alan). They carried that energy into their wedding day: with an amazing meal, an ice cream break from their favorite spot (Caffe Panna), shared shots with friends, and a dance floor that just wouldn’t quit (helped by the incredible DJ James Mulry).

As a wedding photographer in NYC, these are the stories I love telling — modern, intimate, and deeply human. Jane and Alan’s wedding at The Ace Hotel Brooklyn wasn’t about perfection– it was about presence. And that’s what made it beautiful.
